私は20代の頃、東京の駒形に住んでいました。その頃の楽しみの一つが、近所のおせんべい屋さん巡りでした。
アパートから歩いてすぐのところに浅草の商店街があり、「入山」と「花見煎餅」という、手焼きの超人気おせんべい屋さんが2軒ありました。
よく行列に並んで買っていたものです。
ですから、私はおせんべいには詳しい方だと思います。
そんな私が最近出会ったおせんべいがこれです。
驚くことに、近所のホームセンターの直売コーナーに置いてありました。
これは本当にうまい！
せんべいの大きさ、硬さ、そして味の濃さが、とてもバランスが良いのです。
一枚食べ始めると、一気に五枚くらい食べてしまいます。
調べてみたところ、「福丸米菓」という川越のおせんべい屋さんでした。
なぜか家電量販店のヨドバシカメラでも売っているようです。
どうやら、ゴマせんべいの方が人気らしいです。
私はこのおせんべいのために、もう一度カインズ（ホームセンター）に行かなくてはなりません。
My Senbei Memories and a New Discovery
When I was in my twenties, I lived in Komagata, Tokyo. One of the things I enjoyed back then was visiting local senbei (rice cracker) shops.
Asakusa shopping streets were within walking distance of my apartment, and there were two super popular, hand-grilled senbei shops—"Iriyama" and "Hanami Senbei"—and I often stood in line to buy them. So, I would say I know quite a bit about senbei.
The senbei I recently discovered is this one. Surprisingly, I found it in the direct sales corner of my local home center.
It is seriously delicious! The size, the crispness, and the intensity of the flavor are perfectly balanced. Once I start eating one, I end up eating about five pieces in a row.
I looked it up and found that it's from a senbei maker called "Fukumaru Beika" in Kawagoe. Apparently, it’s even sold at Yodobashi Camera, which is a major electronics store, for some reason.
It seems their sesame senbei is more popular, but I definitely need to go back to Cainz (the home center) again just for this senbei.
